Optimist Nationals - Hospitality
We are delighted to welcome you to Howth Yacht Club and HYC's special brand of hospitality. For over 100 years, HYC has served not only has a hub of sailing activity, but as a special place for members to drink, dine and dance, whether they're celebrating with friends and family or race results and trophies.
For the Optimist Nationals, please expect the Clubhouse to on from 9:00 a.m. to accommodate sailors and their families. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner will all be available at HYC throughout the regatta, including our famous Thursday Night Steak Night (ring the office on 01 832 2141 to book!) There will also be hot, hearty meals for hungry sailors coming off the water, and watch out for an ice cream van on Friday afternoon!
A unique feature of the Optimist National Championship is the LADIES' LUNCH, a two-course meal and celebration in the Asgard Room, with a Prosecco reception, a few words from the organisers, and prizes to beat the band! This year's lunch will be held at 1pm on Friday, the 16th of August, and there are only 70 spots available, so book now to avoid disappointment!
