Member Referral Rewards

Know someone who would enjoy being part of HYC?  Refer someone during the month of March and if they join up, you receive 5% of their membership fee back on your membership card.
 
Simply ask your friend to include your name on their application.  They become part of our community - and you earn club credit, subject to the T&C's below.
 
For example:
€55 for each Full Member referral
€25 per Crew & Social referral
 
Credit can be used in the bar, restaurant, or for training.

Terms and Conditions of Promotion
 
1. Promotion Overview
Howth Yacht Club (“HYC”) is running a Membership Referral Reward incentive as a trial initiative for the month of March.
 
2. Promotion Period
The initiative applies to new membership applications received between 1 March and 31 March (inclusive).
 
3. Eligibility – New Members
To qualify under this promotion:
• The applicant must apply for new membership within the promotion period.
• The applicant must clearly name an existing HYC member as having introduced or recommended the Club to them at the time of application.
• The application must be accepted in accordance with the Club’s standard membership approval process.
 
4. Eligibility – Referring Member
• The referring individual must be a current member of HYC in good standing.
• The referring member does not need to act as the official proposer of the new member.
• Referrals may come from any membership category (including crew or social members), provided the member is current and in good standing.
 
5. Incentive Payment
• An incentive payment will be credited to the referring member’s Club account once all membership criteria and approval processes have been fully completed by the new member.
• The incentive is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
• Credit will only be applied once the new member has fulfilled all joining requirements, including payment of applicable fees.
 
6. Referral Cap
• The total number of successful referrals eligible under this initiative is capped at 10 new members.
• Eligibility will be determined on a first-approved basis.
• Once the cap of 10 qualifying new members has been reached, no further referral incentives will apply.
 
7. General
• This initiative is a trial and applies only to the stated promotion period.
• HYC reserves the right to amend, suspend, or withdraw the promotion at its discretion.
• All membership applications remain subject to the Club’s Constitution, Rules, and standard approval procedures.
