Sauna coming soon to HYC

Our friends Ben and Jack at Outcast Sauna have teamed up with HYC to introduce a new facility at the club: a sauna and cold plunge overlooking the marina.

Ben and Jack grew up in Howth and have long-standing family ties to HYC, so when the opportunity to trial a sauna at the club arose, we were keen to explore it.

Many members will know that sailing can be physically demanding, and the sauna provides an additional way to relax and unwind after time on the water. That said, you don't need to have spent the day out on the waves to enjoy its benefits. Whether you've been racing, cruising, or simply enjoying lunch in the Clubhouse, the sauna offers another way to make the most of our exceptional waterfront home throughout the year.

The facility is available to members and their guests, with both shared and private sessions available to book. As this space is located within the club, it provides a welcoming setting to spend time with fellow members, meet new people, or simply enjoy a quiet moment overlooking the harbour.

As a benefit of HYC membership, Outcast Sauna is offering members a special reduced rate on sauna sessions. Bookings will be possible through the Outcast Sauna system, with a link available in the HYC member app later this week. Whether you are already a regular sauna user or simply curious to see what it is all about, we encourage you to give it a try. Members who would like to learn more are also welcome to drop in and have a chat with the Outcast team, who are located across from the junior room.

The facility will be open for bookings from 07:00 to 18:00, Tuesday to Sunday. The sauna is available to members and guests aged 18 and over.
