Thinking of chartering this summer?

23 April 2016

Most charter companies require you to hold either the ISA/RYA Coastal / Offshore practical certificate or an ICC (International Certificate of Competence). Qualifying for the ICC involves completing a short shore-based exam on Colregs, plotting and buoyage and then doing a brief on-the-water practical. This can be completed in a day (weather permitting!). Susan Kavanagh has also added a further 'theory day' to be held on Thursday 5th May at 19:30. There is no charge for members. Please contact Debbie by e-mail at [email protected]. If there is sufficient interest, even more dates will be added.

ICC Assessments:

Any member who would like to do an ICC assessment (theory paper and on-the-water practical) should give their name to Debbie in the club offices ([email protected]) stating their preferred date: Saturday 14th May, Sunday 5th June or Sunday 12th June.
