Committee Vessel Training Sessions

Committee Vessel Training Sessions - Saturday 21 March & 11 April
Ever wondered what really happens on our Committee Vessels to deliver racing? Here’s your chance to find out and to be part of it.
We’re running training sessions for volunteers who’d like to assist aboard North Star and Sea Wych for Club Racing, as well as the fantastic line-up of Open Events taking place throughout the year. The seasonal time commitment we ask for in return is up to you; we’ll be grateful for what you can give.
You’ll get hands-on experience in:
- Race timing and start sequences
- Visual signalling
- Recording results
- Understanding how on-the-water race management really works
- Critical shore-based roles
It’s practical, engaging, and genuinely rewarding. You’ll end up not just watching the racing, but helping to run it.
International Race Officer, David Lovegrove, will guide you through each role making sure you feel confident and ready to step into a race day team. Whether you’ve been around boats for years or you’re simply keen to get involved in a new way, you’ll be warmly welcomed.
If you’ve ever thought, “I’d love to help make it all come together out there…”, this is your moment.
