Paddle Boards & Kayak Lessons & Rental

We now have 9 Paddleboards, 4 Double Kayaks and 5 Single Kayaks and all the safety equipment that is required to provide safe fun on the water this summer (including lifejackets & safety leashes). We recommend that you wear your own wetsuit, however if you do not have one we have a limited supply for members.

Paddle Boards

Led by club member Eoin Kernan, the 2023 stand up paddle boarding [SUP] programme has options to cater for:
  • a SUP beginner
  • a SUP tourer with wanderlust
  • an aspiring SUP racer
  • a calm SUP yogi
And lots more! Their programme forms part of HYC's On The Water initiative for members which, alongside sailing, powerboating, and kayaking is designed to help you get on your own pathway on the water.
If you would like to find out more, you can click onto Eoin's page here .
Kayaks
For those of you who are familiar with Kayaking, talk to our member Ciaran Butler about the possibility of joining him on one of his local adventures. Click on this link to email Ciaran here.
If  you are new to kayaking, we will have a new instructor (Brian) starting in the middle of  June. For more information contact Karen in HYC Office.
