No Wednesday race but Double-Header for Cruiser Racing this Weekend
03 July 2019
Don’t forget that due to the low tide Cruiser Class club racing has been moved from Wednesday to Friday for this week only. Start times remain the same and we hope you will all enjoy the change to Friday night racing and the hospitality available to all afterwards.
The weekend’s racing then continues with the always-popular Gibney Classic on Saturday. This open event welcomes boats from Howth, Malahide and surrounding area to race on the HYC racecourse and then docking in Malahide Marina and onwards to a very special greeting, hospitality and prizegiving in Gibney’s of Malahide.
Saturday’s starting sequence begins at 12:30 and should have boats finishing close to Malahide at approximately 14:30 to avail of the 15:15 high tide and allowing plenty of time for the invited Cruiser Classes 1, 2, 3, White Sails and the one designs including J/80s, Howth Seventeens, Squibs and Puppeteers. The Seventeens include the event as part of their Club Racing Series – but don’t forget to enter online as soon as possible:
