Here in HYC we have a very active group of laser sailors who have been very busy over the winter sailing in the Frostbites. In addition to Frostbite sailing we offer a comprehensive year round laser training program for our junior and cadet sailors.  Over the last number of years this has gone from strength to strength and now 20 junior laser sailors regularly race and train in HYC. Our training program is built in around the frostbite and club racing so our sailors can maximise their training and take advantage of the opportunities to put their training into race practice.

Support is also offered to the sailors at away events such as the Leinster Championships, Youth Nationals and Laser Nationals with a dedicated coach supporting the sailor on the water and a HYC rib traveling with them.

Helping to advance the class activity in the club, the club has organised upcoming Laser Spring Training Programs. The school’s Midterm heralds the start of our Spring training program and this year the training will be offered in two separate modules:

• February midterm training and
• Spring training running from March - Easter (incl. support at the youth nationals)

The February midterm training is now bookable and will run from Monday 20th to Friday the 24th of February inclusive.

The training is suitable for both Radial and 4.7 sailors and will be run over half days.

Sailors will be assigned either a morning or afternoon group.

Mornings 9am-12:30pm

Afternoons: 1:30pm-5pm

The cost is €85 for the week.
