Class 1 and Class 2 enjoy their annual prizegiving dinner
The annual prizegiving dinner for Class 2 (and incorporating Class 1) took place last Saturday 28 January. The event was well attended and enjoyed by a large gathering from the fleet, numbering 115 members and friends who were treated to an excellent meal and entertainment. It's clear from the vibrancy and enthusiasm of the class that this year will see another highly-active and very competitive racing season.
The prizes were presented by Rear Commodore Ian Byrne who was deputising for Commodore Joe Mc Peake who had a family commitment and sent his apologies.
The large spread of club racing prizes were distributed across thirteen boats within the gathered fleet with Ronan Cobbe and Richard Colwell's Fusion taking the season overall Mischief Cup for IRC and Dermot Skehan's Toughnut won the Cochise Cup for HPH.
We all look forward to the busy season ahead for this extremely competitive fleet .
