Lambay Races in Howth this Saturday

This year's Lambay Races are likely to be enjoyed by more than 100 keelboats on this coming Saturday. The event will once again be sponsored by Davy, whose generous sponsorship will offer extra value for competitors and their guests at Howth Yacht Club. The races begin with a pier start at 11:30 for the Howth 17s and 'Old Gaffers', who continue the tradition of this century old regatta by starting in Howth Sound in front of the East Pier.

The main fleet start north of Ireland's Eye 30 minutes later, with the 5 cruiser classes, Shipmans, Ruffians, Puppeteers, J24s and J80s expected to race around the island of Lambay and returning to Howth later in the afternoon. A full hospitality schedule will greet the sailors and their guests when the arrive in the club on Saturday afternoon, including barbecues, live music and entertainment late into the night. The expected superb weather forecast will certainly make up for the disappointment of last year when the races were postponed amidst very different conditions!

Enter the event online here and don't forget to book your table for the regatta dinner which includes live entertainment from the legendary 'Tropical Storm' who will once again play at all the tables before 'plugging in' and entertaining everyone into the early hours.
