Cruising Group late autumn cruise Friday 23rd October
At a time when many boat owners and sailors prepare to remove boats from the water and fold their sails away for the winter months, the HYC Cruising Group intend to continue their season by planning a short cruise south to Greystones later this week. ‘On Friday Next 23rd October a very large flotilla of cruisers is heading South towards Antartica. The Estimated Time of Departure is 10:04 from Howth Marina and the first port of call will be Greystones. The ETA at Greystones is 13:09.
On Saturday Next 24th October, the large fleet are heading from Greystones, North towards the Arctic; ETD (a civilized hour) 13:27 (approx), there will be a fuelling stop in Howth Marina on route. ETA 16:17. (Skippers discretion if they wish continue the voyage to listen to Auroa Borealis this year). All are welcome to join in the adventure. Please let me know if you intend to sail your own boat and have a vacancy or if you would like a crew place. Naturally, all plans are weather dependent and we will confirm plans nearer the day.’
