Exciting progress: our new support vessel nears completion
Excitement and anticipation are growing as our new Support vessel moves from the build facility to the finishing and function testing area, ahead of its sea trials, which we hope will take place later this week.
 
The boat’s journey began with a Letter of Intent (LOI) on July 2024, followed by a build contract in August 2024, with a proposed completion date at the end of March 2025. Pending successful sea trials and final commissioning, the boat is expected to be delivered on schedule and within budget.
 
We extend our sincere thanks to:
  • G Smyth, the boat builder, for their professionalism, craftsmanship, and support throughout the build process.
  • The sub-committee, who specified the boat's requirements and oversaw the build process.
  • DBSC, for developing the prototype and assisting HYC with valuable advice and access to their boat.

We will continue to provide updates on the boat’s progress and its arrival at HYC.
