Well done to all the Howth YC members who took part in the Unio ICRA Nationals, hosted by the Royal Irish YC, over the weekend just past.

Congratulations to the crews of Outrajeous, Lambay Rules, Insider, Bite the Bullet, Impetuous and Splashdance for their podium placings in their respective Classes.

Particular mention must go to Outrajeous (John and Suzie Murphy) for retaining their title as Cruiser 1 Champions and to Bite the Bullet (Colm Bermingham) for winning the Cruiser Non-Spinnaker Class on both IRC and ECHO. Meanwhile, Impetuous (Fergal Noonan/Robert Chambers) romped home as clear winners in Cruiser 2 ECHO.

Outrajeous, in addition to again winning the Cruiser 1 Championship that they won at the 2023 event sailed from Howth YC, also retained the title as Overall ICRA Champion.

Taking the title as overall winner in any year against the quality of opposition competing at the ICRA Championship is a huge achievement and to do so for a second time in a row is amazing. Well done to skipper John Murphy and to all aboard.
