We are thrilled to welcome all competitors and supporters to Howth Yacht Club for Wave Regatta 2024. Expect three days of fantastic racing and amazing shoreside entertainment.

Registration

All competitors need to register at the Race Office at one of the following times:

• Thursday 23th May 19:00 – 21:00
• Friday 24th May 08:00 – 10:00
• Saturday 25th May 08:00 – 09:30 (Lambay Races)

Be sure to collect your complementary race packs which include essential information and some goodies to enhance your experience.

Race Documents

All race documents, including the Notice of Race, Sailing Instructions, and any amendments, can be found on https://www.waveregatta.com/racing.

Any competitor wishing to use a secondary IRC cert should email [email protected] before Thursday 6pm and inform the team at registration.

Event Briefing

The event briefing took place at 21:00 on Thursday, May 23rd. Here is a link to the recording.

Notices to Competitors

Notices to competitors will be posted on the Official Notice Board located in the archway beside the Marina Office and may be communicated through the Wave Regatta WhatsApp Group.

We encourage all Sailors to join the WhatsApp group. 

Race Results

The Race Results for all classes will be available as soon as possible after racing on the results page of the HYC website

Running Repairs

We are delighted to have North Sails and the Rope Dock onsite for the event to take care of any damage to sails or running rigging.

On the Water - SUPing and Kiteboarding

Even if you are not racing, there are plenty of opportunities to get out on the water.

• Junior Paddle Crew (8-17 yrs): Daily 10:30 - 12:00 - While you're racing, let your kids master the art of stand-up paddle boarding in a fun and supportive environment.
• Adult SUP Sessions (18+ yrs): Daily 12:30 - 14:00 - Not racing? Glide effortlessly over calm waters with our 'Level 0 - Entry' SUP sessions, and enjoy a whole new perspective of the beautiful surroundings.

Special Offer: Enjoy a 10% discount on our Wave Regatta SUP activities! If the weather permits, we’ll embark on an Ireland's Eye Adventure and demo SUP Polo.

Pure Magic

• WINGS @WAVE: Advanced wing foilers will attempt to reach Lambay Island from Howth on Saturday, May 25th.
• Pure Magic will also host gear tests, demos, and introductions to foiling. Don't miss the Magic in the Eye SUP Social Paddle to Ireland's Eye.

Shoreside Entertainment

Get ready for an unforgettable shoreside experience with DJ Covell setting the vibe all weekend and the incredible Vogue Williams taking the stage on Friday night!

Rugby Championship Cup Final

There has been an update to the Notice of Race in that we have adjusted the schedule to ensure everyone can join us ashore to enjoy the Champions Rugby Cup Final on the giant outdoor screen on Saturday afternoon, May 25th. This promises to be another fantastic sporting event, and we have folded it into our schedule because we don’t want you to miss it.

Shoreside Access for Sailors

Sailors will need their HYC membership card or Wrist band (issued to non member sailors at registration) to get you through security when entering and leaving the club.

Visitor Tickets

If you have family and friends that need access to shoreside entertainment, they will need to register on our online event portal and they can get free tickets for each of the three days.

Who’s Hungry?

With all the on-water and shoreside entertainment, you’ll need to fuel up! We've got you covered with plenty of delicious food options.

You can also quench your thirst at one of our festival bar areas.

Frank and his bar team will be onsite all weekend to look after our sailors and guests and the main bars will be open:
