2016 ICRA Nationals come to Howth in June

The Irish Cruising Racing Association and Howth Yacht Club are pleased to announce that the ICRA National Championships and Corinthian Cups will be held in Howth this coming June, 11th - 13th.  The three-day Championships will comprise of eight fleets with racing taking place over three race areas, guaranteeing keen racing for all participants. Back at shore there will be a lively social programme.

At the recent launch of the Championships, the event chairman Chris Howard commented “Howth Yacht Club is delighted to be hosting the ICRA Championships and Corinthian Cups again and to welcoming sailors from around the island of Ireland and internationally. Together with ICRA and a large team of HYC volunteers, we look forward to creating an environment for competitive racing for these prestigious Championships.”

It is expected that more than 120 boats will take part and that Howth will cater for more than 800 visitors for the duration of the championships.

Notice of Race and online entry is now available on the event website and can also be accessed by the button on the HYC homepage - an early bird discount is available for entries received online by May 6th.

With the Lambay Races taking place on the previous weekend (June 4th), a limited number of visitor marina berths will also be available from Friday 3rd of June at no charge for yachts competing in both events. Book early to secure your spot.
