It’s that time of the year to kickoff the summer season at HYC.

Whether you race keelboats, enjoy cruising or prefer to get closer to the water in a dinghy or SUP, the Season Opener Party, is the perfect opportunity to welcome in the new season.

This year’s HYC Season Opener event is organised by our K25 Squad, a group of young and talented sailors who are dedicated to achieving racing success as well as growing their sailing skills to make Howth Yacht Club’s burgee fly high. They are also a fun bunch and know how to get a party going!

Speaking of which, when you arrive, we’ll kick things off with Frank’s Signature Gin Cocktail. It’s our way of saying "welcome aboard" to the new season. We’ll also have a DJ in the house and the party atmosphere will be buzzing with a mix of tunes from the 80s through to today – DJ starting at 8:30 pm. It’s the perfect backdrop for swapping sea stories and making plans for the upcoming season.

This event isn’t just a party – it’s for a good cause too! Part of the ticket sales will go towards supporting our K25 Squad. After bagging first place in the J24 Nationals Silver Fleet, they’re setting their sights on moving up to the Gold Fleet and expanding their racing calendar to include major regattas.

Tickets are just €25 and available online. So as the evenings get warmer and the marina lights start to twinkle, let’s gather for a night to remember and the perfect start to a summer filled with adventure and camaraderie.
